Programs and activities provided by
Jireh Services are funded through contracts with
Franklin County Board
of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities
(FCBMR/DD) and the
U. S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development
(HUD).
Services include a full range of programs directed at
fulfilling the needs of each person. Individual Service
Plans are created that include specific action steps to
assist each consumer meet optimal living goals. The
individual plans may consist of services or referrals in the
following areas:

Housing –
Construction and management of affordable and accessible
housing units for disabled individuals and those whose
incomes are within the low to moderate range.

Case Management
– Assessment of the consumer’s abilities and functional
levels to establish a program to meet the individual’s needs
and desires. The program entails determining the appropriate
service provider, monitoring the service plan to determine
if it is addressing the consumer’s needs and desires, and
making adjustments when necessary.

Property
Management – Managing assets, budgeting, and
ensuring compliance.

Consulting
Services – Training and development, capacity
building, housing and real estate development, grant
writing and grant administration.

Advocacy –
The activities include staff interaction with medical
and other professionals to assure that the consumer’s
rights are protected; educating the consumers in life
skills to help them understand and negotiate daily
living situations; and advocating on behalf of the
consumer with family members and other individuals.
Jireh staff also
participates with various community committees and
organizations such as
Advocacy and Protective
Services, Inc., the Provider
Council, and the
Ohio Provider Resource
Association.

Transportation
– Provision of transportation to habilitative, medical,
recreational and other necessary activities.

Recreation –
Access to community recreational activities based on the
consumer’s desires.
